Born in France, graduated as Interior Architect and Designer at École Boulle in Paris, he started off in the fashion sector as a product designer of luggage and accessories, working in China and Hong Kong. Independent since 1992, when he established his own design agency, Rode made a natural transition to the world of furnishings, winning several awards, the 2000 Furniture Fair in Montreal and twice “Chair of the Year” during the Promosedia International Exhibition, to which he is a regular visitor. Inspired by a dream-like realism that places him at the forefront of design, Rode draws his inspiration from the human body.

Castello Lagravinese Alessandro Castello and Maria Antonietta Lagravinese met in one of the most important design and architecture studios in Milan, where they matured and broadened their experience in product, graphic, set and interior design. In 2008 they created a brand featuring a collection of limited edition pieces of furniture inspired by the fashion world. Not only were they artistic directors, but they furthermore collaborated with important companies in the world of contemporary and classic furniture. From 2011 they collaborated with Cantori, presenting a new collection of sofas, beds and accessories characterized by the use of copper and natural brass and then the Urbino canopy bed, the new Aurora rocking chair and George sofa.
